What does the car for the "poor" look like? The answer to this question is probably known to the Czech company Skoda, which recently released a car for developing countries such as India and Pakistan.

The Czech automaker's budget sedan is named Slavia, and the company is revealing more and more details about the new car. The debut of the model will take place before the end of 2021, it will be the next novelty after the Kushaq SUV, which was developed specifically for India and Asia and released in March 2021. With the filing of the press service of Skoda, a video and a photo session of a prototype test drive in camouflage colors have already appeared on the Internet. In the video, you can see how Slavia copes with road tests and the overall appearance of the car. The Czechs do not hide the technical features of the novelty. The automaker offers a sedan with a choice of two petrol turbo engines and three types of transmission.

Insider reported that the line of Slavia engines includes 1.0 and 1.5 liter supercharged gasoline units with a capacity of 115 and 150 hp. respectively. In a couple of the first option, a manual gearbox or a 6-band automatic is offered, and for the second motor — manual transmission or 7-speed automatic DSG.

As for such a budget model, the sedan's equipment is not at all poor. Slavia is equipped with six airbags, and in the maximum configuration, the sedan will please with cruise control, a digital instrument panel, where the image from the rear view cameras will be displayed.

In the Slavia base, the developers used the MQB-A0 modular platform, which has proven itself well in the Indian market in the new Kushaq crossover. The new Czech sedan was created to replace the outdated Rapid in India.
