Vietnamese luxury crossover
The annual auto show has started in Geneva, and unusual cars have already been spotted on it. So, the Vietnamese automaker Vinfast presented the Vinfast Lux V8 crossover luxury class, which was created in the image of the previous generation BMW X5. Even with a cursory glance, it can be seen that the Vietnamese development has much in common with the BMW X5. But the Vietnamese developers do not hide this, apparently, with the Bavarian BMW it was agreed at the official level, since the Germans did not make claims.
It should be noted that the X5 processing was done creatively, and not blindly copied from the original. The front and rear body parts, as well as the optics, underwent changes. As a result, the Vietnamese gave their crossover their own style and image. In general, Vinfast Lux looks very good both outside and inside. The interior is finished with high-quality materials using carbon fiber, in the presence of a large touch screen and digital dashboard. For their car, the Vietnamese used an American engine with a volume of 6.2 liters of V8, with a capacity of 455 hp. and 624 Nm of torque. The same unit is installed under the hood of the Chevrolet Corvette.
It is expected that Vinfast Lux V8 will be put into production in 2020 and will be released in limited quantities. The cost of the Vietnamese crossover is still unknown, but it is assumed that the price for it will be much lower than for the top cars in the luxury crossover segment. Car dealership experts admit that the Vietnamese company managed to surprise the public and build a kind of budget competitor Lamborghini Urus.
