Deputy Minister of Regional Development L. Partskhaladze said that soon a protective barrier in the form of special shockproof columns will appear at all stops of public transport in Ukraine.
According to new building codes, which entered into force on November 1, every public transport stop must be equipped with a protective barrier. This means that before each such place for boarding and replanting passengers, metal posts must be installed. The introduction of new rules was not unfounded, this decision was the result of a number of tragic events - frequent accidents caused by car drivers who drive around the city at high speed, crash into stops and cripple people's lives.
Such columns can appear at busy intersections, and before ground crossings. Perhaps such measures will help at least to some extent protect people and become a saving obstacle to automobile kamikazes.
